Happy Easter! As one of the most important Christian holidays, today we remember the resurrection of Christ Jesus. The resurrection represents not only the victory after Jesus on Good Friday died on the cross for man’s sins, but it stands also for a new start. The vicissitudes of our current age bring positive developments but also stress and challenges. There is not much space for backpedaling or reflection. And sometimes, we find ourselves in situations that seem like a dead end. In this case, we do not need to despair but be aware that every day offers the possibility for a new start and a change of course.

We, Paulus Textil, believe that every day offers new chances and possibilities.

26. March 2024

Three times Palazzo, please! We were happy to have installed three of the Giant parasols, >>Palazzo Noblesse<<, by the Swiss company Glatz, in a schoolyard in Nuremberg, Germany. Each parasol measures 5x5 meters. This way, whether with rain or sun, children and teachers can spend their break outside under the large shaded area of the parasols. Often, we make the experience that sun- and weather protection are not considered in the planning of a construction. Therefore, we are more than happy we could install the parasols during the construction phase of the school with a daycare center.

07. – 09. March 2024

This year, again, we have been invited to be part of the Expert Serge Ferrari  spring meeting. Our partners from Gilles Planen GmbH, with whom we worked together on the Tesla project in October 2023, kindly hosted us. It was possible to parttake in a row of interesting talks, like e.g. energy saving in small and medium-sized, lectured by the Chamber of Crafts Rostock or about the “Pumpkin Principle” by Andeas Lier, a popular corporate strategy from the US. Furthermore, Expert Serge Ferrari informed us about the current market trends, recent marketing materials, and sustainability in the field of industrial textiles. Besides the talks, the cracking of an Escape Room as a team building activity could not be missed.

The Expert Serge Ferrari membership enriches our company and offers the possibility by exchaning ideas with colleagues and partners to broaden our horizon.

07. March 2024

One week ago, we were invited to present our two training programs, “Technische:r Konfektionär:in” and “Industriekauffrau:mann,” at the job- and education fair in Auerbach (Vogtl.).

For this purpose, we brought a small DIY recycling project. The visitors could produce their key chains based on leftover tarpaulin pieces, loops, and carabiners. This way, they could get an idea of the daily work of “Technische:r Konfektionär:in” - hammering tarpaulins and loops. In doing so, we got into a conversation and had a chance to ask the younger generation and their parents for their thoughts and needs. It was a great experience!

We look forward to seeing you again - maybe in the form of a holiday job or an internship. Thanks to all participants from the “Oberschulen des Göltzschtals” and the research group “Schule/Wirtschaft.” And thanks for the visit of Sören Voigt, a member of the Saxon Parliament.

February 2024

Finally, we can work unhurriedly. Thanks to our sound-absorbing, textile industrial partition walls - also known as industrial curtains - our employees can hold down their jobs in one of DHL’s European cargo hubs stress-free.

The protection of noise is good for health. Concentrativeness and inner balance are supported. This way, the risk of errors or accidents decreases.

20. – 21. February 2024

On the R+T – a world-leading fair for shutters, doors, gates, and sun protection – different companies present their innovations and offer solutions for central topics in the field for over 50 years. As a company, we would like to collect recent information for our clients. Moreover, we appreciate personal encounters and talks with colleagues and business partners in the same line of business.

This year, again, we gladly discovered the variety of new products, materials and companies at the fair. We are thankful for the numerous interesting talks and are happy to include and use the experiences in our professional daily routine.

Designing, planning and manufacturing a tent are part of the work. Another important part is setting up the tent. On-site assembly and service work are part of our range of services in the area of tent systems. On behalf of our industry partner Röder, we installed a storage tent hall for the mineral water company Frankenbrunnen. We would like to thank Röder for their trust!

In the past month, we have manufactured several tarpaulins for trucks. Trucks are, so to say, as their side job, the perfect advertising vehicles. Thanks to many years of experience and cooperation with digital print experts, our tarpaulins, their manifacture and print are made for persistence and high quality.

We are happy about our past projects and look forward to future ones!

An eventful year comes to an end. Post-pandemic difficulties, wars, inflation, and extreme weather brought uncertainty to our daily lives and affected our company, too. In these times, believing and trusting in the creator God, who has the world in his hands, becomes an anchor we can hold onto and brings inner peace and hope.

Why not! With an integrated LED lightning and an infrared radiant heater for awnings and parasols, you can enjoy and relax on your terrace even on the shorter days of winter season. This quote supposedly goes back to Martin Luther and became popular during the reconstruction after World War II. Even in the face of many frightening events these days, we are willing to look ahead with hope. Hence, we decided to adorn our property with an apple and a pear tree.

We are happy and honored to have been able to contribute to the construction of the Tesla's Gigafactory near Berlin.
Due to a predetermined short construction period and a tight schedule, several construction sections had to be protected by textile walls. In this way, we could continue the interior construction simultaneously. 
Our part was to fabricate the textile walls and additionally provide an innovative installation concept. Beside the tight schedule, the high wind load and the dimensions of the textile walls have been a challenge that we finally mastered, thanks to our fantastic team!

At the Expert Serge Ferrari  Annual General Meeting 2023, we were pleased to be the guests of our colleagues from Optimal Planen GmbH. As a company, we aim to develop and educate ourselves constantly. Our membership in the Expert Serge Ferrari Group enables us to maintain an active dialogue with other experts in the field.

We are very pleased about being in the local newspaper Freie Presse. The interview was about the development of our company and current projects, as well as the sometimes challenging search for skilled workers and integration.

This month, we would like to present two charity projects of the Kinderhilfe Westafrika e.V. association we have been supporting for many years. Their goal is to help children and young people by giving them a better foundation for their future in the West African countries of Benin, Burkina Faso, Ghana, and Niger.

Seeing the effort and heart they put into their projects, we are happy to donate to the “Les Chants des Oiseaux de Pobè” orphanage regulary. Founded in 2008, they shelter for about 40 children threatened by child trafficking, child labor, and forced marriage. (Watch video)
As they also appreciate practical help, in December 2016, our CEO, Steffen Golle, personally traveled to Burkina Faso to sew and help install a former big top used for events or church services (see photos!). It has been a wonderful experience to immediately help people locally.

Again, we are enthusiastic about the tireless efforts of Kinderhilfe Westafrika and are pleased to be able to contribute!

The kitchen tent of the EmK (Evangelical Methodist Church Germany) shines in new splendor. Cooking in the tent and many years of use have left their traces. Finally, the new tent is ready to be inaugurated at this year’s summer camp! We are content to hear that the client is happy, and we wish the staff, children, and youth a lot of fun while cooking together during summer camp.

We are pleased that young and old can now enjoy the water playground of Rodewisch (Saxony) under the protection of a Paulus' awning.

Our sun awnings provide protection from UV radiation and rain showers. In their shade, you can spend a relaxing, pleasant time outdoors, even in the heat of summer.

Last year, we designed, manufactured and installed our biggest awning (80m²)! Our awnings are a highlight for buildings and gardens, and protect from intense sunlight and rain. The space beneath can be used flexibly.

The KCF (Congress of Christian Leaders) is one of the biggest value conventions in Europe. Its purpose is to encourage Christians in leadership positions to live their values and take responsibility. The central topics of the 13th edition of the convention are going to be “Change, Sustainability, and Hope.” We are excited to meet visitors and the other participants and look forward to inspiring talks. In September we participated in the international industry meeting “CONTESS 2022 – Textile Constructions and innovative Materials” in Brixen.

The European Textile Academy organized this event, which provided an impressive, varied program with outstanding speakers. Amongst them were Rainer Blum & Robert Roithmayr (formfinder), Jan Knippers (Integrative Computational Design and Construction), Natalie Eßig (Munich University of Applied Sciences), Antonio Diaferia (Maffeis Engineering SpA), Dip.Ing. Jörg Tritthardt and Johann Dirscherl (D. Fundamentbau GmbH) and many more.

Equally exciting was the venue - the headquarters of Durst Group AG.
